Yale Steam Laundry Expanding; More DC Condos and DC Lofts Coming to Mount Vernon Square!

We recently did a DC condo building profile on Yale Steam Laundry, a really cool loft building in Mount Vernon Square.  As I wrote before, Yale Steam Laundry is a different style of living than many other DC condominiums, because it presents more of a warehouse/New York city loft feel.  After opening in 2008, Yale Steam Laundry has 149 units that are going fast, with only 28 units still available.  But now, as reported by Bisnow.com, the good people at Yale Steam Laundry are expanding, which should create lots of excitement amongst DC residents looking for a new place.

The new project, dubbed “Phase two” will be composed of 218 high-end rentals units, that mirror the condominiums in phase one.  The new building will be right next to the old one at 443 New York Ave NW.  After seeing what phase one of Yale Steam Laundry turned out to be, there is reason to believe that the new addition will be provide 218 incredible places to live.

Yale Steam Laundry is adding a building!

According to Bisnow, phase two is projected to be complete some time in the fall of 2011.  Take a tour of Yale Steam Laundry phase one NOW and get in on one of the last 28 available units!
