There was much elation throughout the Washington, DC area Tuesday night when the Washington Wizards were awarded the number one overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. After a year filled with problems, the team, and furthermore, the city, can hardly contain their excitement over the idea of using their good fortune to select Kentucky point guard John Wall, widely regarded as the best player available.

But, alas, this isn’t a sports blog, so that is where our basketball scribble will end. Instead, we at CondoDomain DC wonder the following: When the Wizards pick John Wall, which area in DC will he purchase his new home?
Here are some of the options:
Chinatown: It’s no mystery why this NW DC neighborhood tops the list. With the Verizon Center, the Wizards home arena, literally attached to the Chinatown Metro station, Johnny boy could walk to work every day. Chinatown is packed with luxurious condominium buildings that would give Wall a taste of high-class DC urban living.

Georgetown: If chosen by the Wizards first overall, Wall is going to get P-A-I-D. From his Wizards contract, to a shoe contract, to, most likely, an Eastern Motors contract Wall is gonna be raking in the dough.
“Ford, Honda, Chevy, Beamers, and MiniVans. Over 600 cars, trucks, SUVs, are you listening man?”
With this wealth, might JW choose to buy a home in Georgetown, one of DC’s most exclusive, priciest neighborhoods? If he does, here’s are a couple of mansions the point guard might take a look at:

DC Suburbs: While I believe that living in a crazy sweet crib in downtown DC can’t be beat, I don’t have a full enough wallet to do so. However, several past Wizards, most notably Antawn Jamison, who do have the cash to live wherever they choose, have taken their life to the DC suburbs. Jamison lived a palace in Bethesda, and this could be an attractive area for Wall. Somewhat removed from the DC spotlight, Bethesda homes like these could provide Wall, who’s just 19 years old, with a little peace of mind:
