West End Neighborhood Profiled in UrbanTurf’s Rent Vs. Buy Article

In this edition of UrbanTurf’s Rent vs. Buy, Michelle Lerner profiles to popular West End neighborhood of NW DC.  The West End neighborhood is set in between Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, and Dupont Circle, and offers residents true luxury living in the city.

“West End is home to some of the highest-end residential developments in the city,” Lerner wrote. “In addition to a number of restaurants and cafes, the neighborhood also has a Trader Joe’s grocery store that residents from neighboring zip codes flock to.”

The DC condominiums in West End are stunning.  22 West is an absolute work of art, with spacious floor-plans and uber modern features. Read more about 22 West here.

Lerner wrote that although the units in the West End area are expensive, if one is financially equipped to do so, buying is the way to go.

“If you can afford it, our recommendation would be to buy,” Lerner wrote.  ”The rents are absurdly high in West End, and the mortgage payments on many of the one and two-bedroom condos in the neighborhood would be less than renting similarly sized apartments in the area. Unless, of course, you are in the mood to drop over $1 million. But if you are in that category, you don’t even need our advice.”
