A member of the Chevy Chase district is Friendship Heights, which offers some of the very best, upscale shopping in all of DC.  The presence of Bloomingdales and Williams Sonoma might lead one to believe they are in New York City, while, in fact they have just stepped out of their Chevy Chase condo.
