The Floridian: Upscale Washington Loft Homes

The U street corridor is an area that has seen tremendous change within a generation.  The home of Duke Ellington and longtime center of Washington’s African American nightlife is alive again with a hip, upscale and youthful community.  After several decades of decline, boarded up buildings are now opened as chic galleries, vibrant cafes, shops, and jazz clubs.

The transformation of the Adams-Morgan neighborhood that began in the 90s has successfully continued, and that is evident in residential development. This is the neighborhood for DC condos that are newly constructed or newly renovated.    People want to live in this neighborhood, so convenient to the Metro and the jazz clubs.  And they’re living in modern Washington DC condos that are new and have all the upscale amenities a city dweller would want.

UrbanLand Company is currently representing the Floridian.  You can see the Floridian’s page on UrbanLand Company’s website here.

The Floridian is comprised of two stainless steel, colored glass and limestone towers 8 stories tall.  These are Washington loft style homes with high ceilings, hardwood floors, Euro Kitchens with granite counters, and stone tile baths.  There are two levels of underground parking, but there’s no need to drive to be in the heart of it all.  Some homes include a view down Vermont Ave to the White House.  Studios are priced from $229K, 1 bedrooms from $357K, and 2 bedrooms are priced from $388K and up.   The development is FHA approved, so a 3% down payment is possible.

Life in DC’s hip, historical and hottest neighborhood may be just the thing – dare I say it – for U!!!
