DC Condos: Why YOU should Buy RIGHT Now

Right now, Washington, DC is like a volcano before eruption, except instead of lava, real estate and condo potential is going ooze all over the city streets.

DC locals have long seen their own city as the nation’s punching bag.  Politicians come in and out every couple of years but don’t really embrace the city: Right jab. Tourists only visit the National Mall and neglect the rest of the city: Left hook. Taxation without representation: Below the belt kick to the groin.  The Redskins haven’t had more than 10 wins in a season since 1991: Mike Tyson-style ear chomp.

But then came a young, hip President.  And with that young, hip Commander in Chief came the spotlight. And with this spotlight has come far more publicity than this city could have ever imagined.

MTV’s The Real World just completed filming their 23rd season which will hit air in late December.  Many living in NW DC condos and lofts called the reality show their neighbors, as this season’s location was Dupont Circle.  Bravo is putting together the Real Housewives series DC style.  Furthermore, there is the Blonde Charity Mafia, CW’s version of The Hills in the District, an upcoming series dedicated to following the lives of Georgetown’s social butterflies.  By the way, if you watch Blonde Charity Mafia, and I really don’t know why you would, you might see yours truly, as I happened into a party earlier this year where they were filming that night.  I think I was wearing a grey sweater or a pink leotard, so keep an eye out.

These are just a few examples.  This publicity means that DC is no longer on the verge of being “the next big thing”.  Instead, the District’s moment has finally come, in 2009.

Developers are aware.   DC condos and lofts are being purchased and created at a rapid pace.

Communities and neighborhoods in Washington that were once viewed as untouchable are suddenly considered hot projects.

And while everyone wants to get in, not everyone has, with the results being that prices aren’t astronomical.  At least not yet.    These condos and lofts in DC have everything you could desire in your wildest real estate fantasies.  Stunning views of the water and age-old monuments.  A skyline that is untouched because of DC’s building height law.  The ability to walk virtually anywhere, anytime.  It’s all here.

You can hear the rumble in the streets.  It’s just a matter of time before the DC condominium market blows up. It’s just a matter of time before the volcano erupts.  Act before it’s too late.
