If you are thinking about living in the Northern Virginia, there has been some buzz about the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project. This construction is being performed between East Falls Church to Wiehle Avenue in Reston, VA. According to the January 2011 Newsletter of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, it speaks on behalf of five stations, as part of Phase 1, being constructed which include the following:
* Tysons East along Route 123 at Scotts Crossing
* Tysons Central 123 along Route 123 at Tysons Boulevard near Tysons Corner and Tysons Galleria
* Tysons Central 7 (in the median of Route 7 near Marshall’s)
* Tysons West (in the median of Route 7 between Spring Hill and Tyco Roads)
* Median of Dulles International Airport Access Highway and Dulles Toll road which is the last stop of Phase 1.
It is amazing that Phase 1 of this project has hit a wonderful milestone of 27 percent in construction completion and 95 percent design completion. It is beautiful to note that this Phase 1 project should be completed by 2013. However, what does this mean for current businesses, current residents, and potential residents in this area? Hopefully constructing these five stations will have a positive impact on businesses, current residents, and future residents for these areas.
