300,000 iPad’s Sold in First Day; How Will the Device Fare?

It has been announced that Apple sold 300,000 iPads in the first day of sales.  There were some reports originally that the company’s first day sales totals of the brand new device had been between 600,000-700,000, but they were false.

“Apple today announced that it sold over 300,000 iPads in the US as of midnight Saturday, April 3,” The Apple press release reads.  ”These sales included deliveries of pre-ordered iPads to customers, deliveries to channel partners and sales at Apple Retail Stores. Social Media Getting HUGE for Businesses

There was an interesting blog post written by Jennifer Nycz-Conner of the Washington Business Journal. The article describes how social media is being used by a variety of businesses to market their products in today’s world.
