Cleveland Park Adds Several New Shops; On The Rebound?

Cleveland Park’s struggles have been fairly well documented. The NW DC neighborhood just north of Dupont Circle and Woodley Park has seen numerous stores close up shop in the past year, due to the Recession’s fierce bite as well as the area’s extremely high prices.
In September, the Washington Post ran a story entitled “Businesses Vanish From Once-Vibrant Stretch of Cleveland Park”. At the time, the Post reported that of Cleveland Park’s 64 storefronts, 11 were vacant, a simply staggering number.
