Residences at Gallery Place Condo Board to be Sued by Developers

The developers of the Residences at Gallery Place are suing the building’s condominium association, according to Washington Business Journal reporter Sarah Krouse.  Akridge and Western Development Corporation, the developer and owner of the building, is claiming that the building’s condo board hasn’t been forking over standard community costs.
“Akridge and Western Development Corp. say the association has not paid common-area maintenance costs since 2007 and was late paying $126,590 in insurance costs,” Krouse wrote.  ”The team is calling for $458,630 in damages plus interest, attorneys fees and a judgment that would require …

Mass Court Apartment Building Near Chinatown Sold by Prudential

The Mass Court Apartment complex at 300 Massachusetts Avenue in NW has been sold by Prudential Real Estate Investors.  The building was purchased by CB Richard Ellis Investors for $105.5 million.  Mass Court, which is set just at the edge of Chinatown and Mount Vernon Square in East End, has 371 apartments.

This is not the first property that Prudential Real Estate has given up recently.
